His latest novel, THE CHRONAL ENGINE: AHEAD OF TIME, will be published in 2012 by Clarion Books (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt). It’s a mystery-adventure time-travel story about three teens who use their reclusive grandfather’s time machine to travel back to the Age of Dinosaurs to rescue their kidnapped sister and solve a family mystery. Greg is also the author ofNINJAS, PIRANHAS, AND GALILEO(Little, Brown 2003 hc, 2005 sc), and its companion book, TOFU AND T.REX(Little, Brown 2005). He and his wife,Cynthia Leitich Smith, are the co-authors of the picture book, SANTA KNOWS(Dutton 2006), illustrated by Steve Bjorkman.
